Wow, what a gorgeous shot! I love the focus in the texture of the feathers of the bird, along with the capture of life in the tree on which the bird is perched. Further, the blurred background adds a very nice touch, bringing attention to the bird, like time just stops as the bird looks at you with it's adorable little eyes. Such a brilliant specimen as well! The bird just seems to want to investigate it's subject... it's a very charming perspective.
Originality (although a tad unorthodox, in my opinion) is somewhat lacking, since there are only so many different perspectives and scenes you can carfully capture, but never the less, it is an absolutely stunning shot. I really hope to see more!
